[GR] > The Number 110 - The Abiding Foundation

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

1 John 4.15

The word translated as "dwelleth" is menei, elsewhere translated as "abideth." This is a very interesting word, it relates to words such as Amen, remain, permanent, and memory. The Number 110 is also found in Isaiah 28.16:

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

The phrase translated as a "sure foundation" is musad musad, a simple duplication with the numerical value 220. The sum of the quote links to the phrase "Jesus Christ abideth" = 2478. This is discussed in more detail in the Foundation of Creation article.
