And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;
and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
James 5:15
And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour
I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
Acts 10:30
When studying the meaning of the Number Nine, I noticed that
the "ninth hour" is associated twice in the Book of Acts with prayer, and that in both cases the verse indices
are composed of combinations of a 1 and 3: Acts 3:1 and Acts 10:30. I was familiar
with the digits 1 and 3 being related to prayer through the value of the fundamental Greek word for prayer,
euche = 1013. But the latter index particularly
caught my attention because it echoes the Number 1030 which is the value of the
Greek word "enteuxis" meaning "intercessory prayer", and is exactly twice the value
of the fundamental Hebrew word for prayer, tiphlah = 515, which itself is the
index of James 5:15, certainly one of
the most famous verse of concerning prayer. We have the identity:
| Intercessory Prayer
Entuxis |
= 1030 = 2 x 515 = 2 x Tiphlah (Prayer) |
Stated in English, the numeric value of intercessory prayer -
one praying for another so there are
two people involved in the prayer - is exactly twice the value
fundamental Hebrew word for prayer!
