Isaiah 30 Amos
And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites.
Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD. But ye gave the Nazarites
wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
Bible Book 30 (Amos 2.11f)
That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the
law of the LORD: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not
unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
Isaiah Chapter 30 (vs. 10f)
The overwhelming divine intregration of Isaiah 30 and the book of Amos is unlike anything I have
seen in the entire Bible. There are over twenty KeyLinks between Amos and the 33 verses of
Isaiah 30. This is the greatest density of KeyLinks I have ever seen.
I begin with
the verses above, which are linked with
the KeyLink (Prophets, "Prophesy Not") [Verify] :
KeyLink Prophesy Not! | Isaiah 30Amos |
Its important to keep in mind exactly what is going on here. Its not merely that Isaiah 30 and Amos
speak of exactly the same thing. It is much deeper than that - the thing they speak in unison is spoken
nowhere else in ALL SCRIPTURE! It is a KeyLink!
KeyLink: ("The Law of the Lord", Lies/Lying) Isa 30.9 - Amos 2.4[Verify]

Isa 30.9f That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear
the
law of the LORD: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not
unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: |
Amos 2.4 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four,
I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of
the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err,
after the which their fathers have walked: |
Note that the Isaiah 30.10 links to Amos 2.12 and Isaiah 30.9 links to Amos 2.4, that is, Isaiah 20.9-10 links
with two completely independent KeyLinks to different portions of Amos 2.
KeyLink: ("Turn Aside", Holy) Isa 30.11 - Amos 2.7[Verify]
Isaiah 30 |

Isa 30.10f Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto
us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way,
turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. |
Amos 2.7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and
turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the
same maid, to profane my holy name: |
This now is the third fully independent KeyLink between Isaiah 30.9-11 and Amos 2!
KeyLink: (Bread, Water, Lord, Give/Send) Isa 30.20 - Amos 8.11 [Verify]
Isaiah 30 |
Amos |

Isa 30.20f And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the
water of affliction, yet
shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see
thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the
way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. |
Amos 8.11f Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will
send a famine in
the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words
of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east,
they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. |
We also have two related KeyLinks:
- KeyLink: (Bread, Water, Lord w/i 1 Word*)
- KeyLink: ("hear a word" or "hearing the words") [Verify]
KeyLink: (Gracious, Judgment) Isa 30.18 - Amos 5.15 [Verify]
Isaiah 30 |
Amos |

Isa 30.18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you,
and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you:
for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are
all they that wait for him. |
Amos 5.15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate:
it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the
remnant of Joseph. |
Note that Grace (Chen, S# H2580) is a Chet KeyWord (30 = 82 = Spoke 8, Cycle 2).
This relates to
Hanes (S# H2609) which appears only in Isaiah 30.4. The KeyLink above can be specified yet more,
since both verses also contain the words Lord and God:
KeyLink: (Lord, God, Gracious, Judgment) Isa 30.18 - Amos 5.15 [Verify]
This is not really another KeyLink, its just a more detailed version of the one above.
KeyLink: (Ride*, Swift*, Horse*) Isa 30.16 - Amos 2.15 [Verify]
Isaiah 30 |
Amos |
---|
Isa 30.16f But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall
ye flee: and,
We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue
you be swift.
One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five
shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill. |
Amos 2.15 Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is
swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse
deliver himself. And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away
naked in that day, saith the LORD. |
There three related KeyLinks:
- KeyLink: (Horse*, Swift* w/i 1 Flee)
- KeyLink: (Horse*, Ride* w/i 1 Flee)
- KeyLink: ("Shall Flee" w/i 1 Swift)
KeyLink: (Sift, Nations) Isa 30.28 - Amos 9.9 [Verify]
Isaiah 30 |
Amos |

Isa 30.28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck,
to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err. |
Amos 9.9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel
among all nations, like
as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. |
The theme of Isaiah 30.28 links strongly to Isaiah 8 - exhibiting the same structure of the Bible Wheel
(30 = 8 + 22).
KeyLink: (Breach*, Day, Up) Isa 30.26 - Amos 9.11 [Verify]
Isaiah 30 |
Amos |

Isa 30.26f Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light
of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the
LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
|
Amos 9.11f In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen,
and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins,
and I will build it as in the days of old: |
