Isaiah 28 - Vav - The Lord's Strange Act
For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as
in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass
his act, his strange act.
Isaiah 28 (vs. 20) Spoke 6, Cycle 2
Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up
the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun,
stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
Joshua 10.12 Spoke 6, Cycle 1

Though interpretations vary, I find it intriguing that
the linked verse speaks of the time when God made the sun stand still in the sky. Note that this is
a variation on the theme of an act against the Sun and Moon that we see in Revelation 6. The sense of
divine design deepens as we discover another KeyLink between Isaiah 28 and Joshua, based on the nature of
God's strange act. :

Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of
hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters
overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand. |
And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going
down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them
unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with
hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword. |

The word translated as "strange" in Isaiah 28 is Zar (S# H2114 which also appears
Book 28 (Hosea 8.11):
Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him
to sin. I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted
as a strange thing.
