Spoke 13
Psalm 35 Psalm 57
Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions,
my darling from the lions. I will give thee thanks in the great congregation:
I will praise thee among much people.
Psalm 35:17 (Inner Cycle: Spoke 13, Cycle 1)
Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul
trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge,
until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto
God that performeth all things for me. He shall send from heaven, and save
me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send
forth his mercy and his truth. My soul is among lions: and I lie even among
them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and
arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. Be thou exalted, O God, above the
heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
Psalm 57:2ff (Inner Cycle: Spoke 13, Cycle 3)
The two passages above are the only two passages in all the KJV that contain the words "soul" and "lions".
Both are on Spoke 13 of the Inner Cycle of the Psalms. We have, therefore a Spoke 13 KeyLink Using modnotation to write 35 = 132 and 57 = 133, we
arrive at this expression for it:
| KeyLink: My Soul amongst the Lions | PPsalm( 132 ) PPsalm( 133 ) |
The question How long, O Lord also links many elements from Spoke 13.
Another obvious link between these two Psalms is found in the following passages:
Psalm 35.7f | Psalm 57.7 |
For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without
cause they have digged for my soul. Let destruction come upon him at unawares;
and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let
him fall. |
They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down:
they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they
are fallen themselves. |
Note that both Psalms 35 and Psalms 57 speak of the wicked falling into their own
pit. These verses are linked by a couple distinct KeyLinks. First, they are the only verses in the
KJV containing the words (digged, pit, net) [Verify]:
| KeyLink: Digged, Pit, Net | PPsalm( 132 ) PPsalm( 133 ) |
Alternately, we could search for all verses containing the set ("net", "my soul") [Verify]
| KeyLink: A Net for My Soul | PPsalm( 132 ) PPsalm( 133 ) |
This is a typical phenomenon - linked verses often are linked by
multiple KeyLinks.
