Spoke 12

Psalm 144: The Lord Teacheth Me

Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

Psalm 144 (Spoke 12, Cycle 6)

The name of 12th Letter Lamed - pic - means to teach. This is the word that appears in verse 1 above. It intergrates with the great theme of Teaching found on Spoke 12, which also manifests dramatically in the Life of Christ who taught the teachers in the Temple at age 12. We also have a KeyLink between Palm 12 and Psalm 144. Searching the entire Bible for the set (speak*, vanity near children) yields these two verses:

Psalm 12Psalm 144
Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword. Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
