Chi Rho: The Monogram of Christ
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which
is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9f (Spoke 6, Cycle 3)
The
Monogram of Christ is one of the oldest and most popular Christian symbols. It is formed by
superimposing the initials IX of His Name (Ihsous Christos, Jesus Christ).
This image comes straight from the Mind of God. The Alpha and Omega on
the left and right are inextricably and eternally integrated with the identity of
the Lord Jesus Christ through this pair of identities (cf. Revelation 1:8):
The Creator

= 801 = |

The
symbol of the Chi Rho also represents the six directions of the Cosmos created by Jesus Christ.
It would appear that the Lord God Almighty has stamped His Creation with His Monogram.
All hail the Lord Jesus Christ! The association between the Number Six and the Cosmos is found in the very beginning of Scripture:
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Thus the
heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Genesis 1:31f
In the Septuagint, the last phrase is translated as "and the whole cosmos of them."
Cosmos occurs frequently in the New Testament, usually translated as
world. Its relation to the concept of heaven and earth
is exemplified in Acts 17:24:
The God who made the world [Cosmos], and all the things in it, since He is Lord of
heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands ...
Acts 17:24
In its broadest sense, cosmos denotes the entire physical universe,
both heaven and earth. This understand is integrated in the
Numerical Categories associated with the composite concepts. The Earth itself relates to the Number Four
through the ancient concept of "the four corners of the earth" (cf. Rev. 7.1), which is a
symbol of the four cardinal directions -
North, East, West, and South. It refers to our experience
constrained to an essentially two-dimensional surface.
The Lord Jesus used this symbol when He spoke of the events immediately preceding His return at the
end of this Age:
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn,
and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send
His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds,
and from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:30-31
The Four Winds is another way of indicating the Four Directions, or Corners, of the Earth.
And what of the two ends of Heaven? When Heaven and Earth are united to form the Cosmos, we gain two directions, Up and Down.
This yields six directions as the fundamental defining characteristic
of the space in which we live. Any being
possessing directional consciousness,
the ability to count, and an interest in categorizing the world according to Number would naturally
recognise the innate sixness of the Cosmos. The
Number Six relates directly to the Cosmos as a Numerical Archetype underlying the basic structure of Reality.
These ideas are not new. The second century Christian theologian Clement of Alexandria expressed
precisely the same interpretation of the Creation Story:
There proceed from God, the heart of the world, indefinite extensions - upwards and downwards,
to the left and to the right, backward and forward. Looking in these six directions,
as at a constant number, he completes the creation of the world, of which he is the beginning and end.
Stromata vi 16
The incredible integration of the Number Six with the sixfold
structure of the Cosmos is one of the most startling and astounding revelations of the Bible.
It begins with the plain text which declares that
the Cosmos was created in Six Days. This then integrates with the unmistakable geometry of the
space in which we live. Yet there is a deeper relation between the Number Six and the Cosmos, as
revealed in this profound pair of fundamental identities
linking the Hebrew word for Six used in the Creation account with the Greek word for our universe:
World
Cosmos |
|
= 600 = |
Six
Shaysh |
|
The most obvious property of this pair of identities is its self-reflectivity; the Number uniting the
words Six and Cosmos is simply the Number Six on a higher scale. The scaling factor, the Number Ten,
is the basis of both the Decimal Number System and the numeric structure of the Alphabets, as detailed
in the Alphabet Table . In the Algebra of God's Word,
the Number Ten functions much
like a magnifying glass. Multiplication by Ten does not so much alter, as amplify the meaning.
It is frequently found in the transform from Hebrew to Greek and in the fulfillment of prophecies,
as discussed in Multiples of Ten . Consider what is going on here. We have numerous independent links between the Cosmos and the Number Six:
- The plain message of Scripture relates Six and the Cosmos.
- The geometry of the Cosmos is sixfold, in the sense of Six Directions.
- The common value linking the Hebrew word for Six to the Greek word for Cosmos is itself the Number 600, a
simple multiple of Six.
All of this then integrates with the nature of the Creator:
The Godhead
Heh Theotes |
= 600 |
Everything ties together with supernatural perfection! It is all integrated with the geometry of Reality as seen
all around us and with the nature of the Eternal Godhead! Yet for all this we have just begun since this all
manifests in the Creation Holograph which is built upon a pair of
prime palindromic
hexagonal Star numbers that represent the Heart (37) of Wisdom (73)!
There is no end to the wonder of our God, the
Lord Jesus Christ who has stamped His Creation with His Own Initialis! Glory!
