Spoke 12 - Lamed

2 Kings, Nahum, Titus

Come ye and Hearken

Come, ye (lekhu) children, hearken (shamu) unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD (YHVH).

AV Psalm 34:11 (Lamed)

Go ye (lekhu), enquire of the LORD (YHVH) for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened (shamu) unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

2 Kings 22:13 (Spoke 12, Cycle 1)

Distribution of 'lekhu' in the 12 OT History BooksGod placed the KeyWord לכו (lekhu) in the Lamed verse of AV Psalm 34:11. He also placed it in the opening passage of 2 Kings on Spoke 12:

And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go (lekhu), enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.

2 Kings 1:2f (Spoke 12, Cycle 1)

Think carefully of what you are seeing here. We have three seemingly independent lines converging on a single point. First, God placed the KeyWord lekhu in the verse corresponding to Lamed in AV Psalm 34. Second, he marked the opening passage of Book 12 with the same KeyWord. Third, he saturated the Book 12 with the greatest number of occurrences of this KeyWord found in any book of the Bible, (see Go and Enquire for a discussion of the graph).

KeyLink Vocabulary

Yet there is a fourth link between the Lamed verse of AV Psalm 34 and the Book of 2 Kings. It is found by searching the Bible for all verses that contain the set (lekhu, shamu, YHVH) shown in the vocabulary table. The seach was for the exact form of the three words, except for vowel points. Note that "lekhu" can mean either "come ye" or "go ye" depending on context. This set is found only in the two verses quoted above, and we have therefore an Alphabetic KeyLink:

This is the second Alphabetic KeyLink from AV Psalm 34 to the Book of 2 Kings (the other is discussed here). It is important to note the incredible richness of AV Psalm 34, which also has Alphabetic KeyLinks to Spoke 1, Spoke 9, Spoke 16, and Spoke 21.
