The Witnesses Stand
For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua;
upon one stone shall be
seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and
I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
Zechariah 3:9 (Spoke 16, Cycle 2)
Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and
he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
Zechariah 4:7 (Spoke 16, Cycle 2)
To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men,
but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house,
an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone,
elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore
which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the
builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone
of stumbling,
and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto
also they were appointed.
1 Peter 2:3f (Spoke 16, Cycle 3)
The theme of Stone common to Zechariah and I Peter stands as an eternal
witness to the supernatural
design of the Holy Bible. Christ Himself established it when He gave Peter his new name
after he bore witness to the identity of the Lord Jesus in the
Great Confession (Matthew
16):
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said,
Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him,
Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it
unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou
art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates
of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 16:15f (Spoke 16 Inner Cycle)
This is one of the most astounding triple correlations between the sequence of Matthew's chapters, the order
of the Canon, and the order of the Hebrew alphabet. It links to the name of Peter on Spoke 16, the
meaning of עין (ayin, eye) and its associated KeyWord
עד (ed, witness), which figures prominently in Zechariah:
And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before
the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist
him. And the LORD said
unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem
rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? Now Joshua was clothed with
filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto
those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And
unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I
will clothe thee with change of raiment. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head.
So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel
of the LORD stood by. And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my
charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give
thee places to walk among these that stand by.
Zechariah 3:1ff (Spoke 16, Cycle 2)
The six highlighted words - stand, standing, and stood - are all translations of the fundamental
Ayin KeyWord עמד (amad, to stand, S# H5975). This is closely
related to the idea of standing and bearing witness (עד, ed).
Note the phrase "as a brand plucked out of the fire." This is close to the
idea of gold tried by fire as a symbol of the
Trial of our Faith, which forms a KeyLink between Zechariah and I Peter.
