[GR] > The Number 1499 - Isopsephia |
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1.1
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that
are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Colossians 1.16
The Number 1499 is prime. It is the value of the second clause of Genesis 1.1, and so relates to the
creation of heaven and earth. It is interesting then that it is the same number we find for the
"principalities and powers."
The Greek word corresponding to the Hebrew
(Gematria = 273) is (Isopsephia = 1499) from the
root "isos" (same, S# G2470)
and "psephos" (pebble/count, S# G5586).
The phrase "principalities and powers" is a variation
on the words written in Colossians 1.16, with the word "kai (and)" replacing "eite (or). It is not written in
Scripture, but it is a perfectly valid Greek phrase.
