Trust God to guide you in everything.

My wife Rose and I walk three miles every morning and talk about everything under the sun. This morning was a wonderful walk. We talked about the things of God. We talked about the two great commandments, to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself. God filled my heart with His Spirit and I spoke the Word of God - like breathing fresh spring air. I told her about what it feels like to be totally devoted to God with a heart cleansed by the blood of Christ. She received it well but it hasn't really penetrated yet (she's still an unbeliever).

Then she asked if my experience of God now is different than when I first believed (before I fell away in 2011). I explained that yes, it's like I was a caterpillar Christian back then, feeding on the leaves of God's Word, and now I'm a butterfly Christian. Then it dawned on me, I was a "prepubescent" Christian back then, and now I'm an adult Christian. Both metaphors work very well, since the transition from caterpillar to butterfly is similar as the transition from child to adult through puberty.

I told her about the clarity of God's Word, how the two great commandments feel like a brilliant light that I see guiding me. I told her how I am constantly praying in the presence of Christ. He is transforming me moment by moment. When I got home, I wanted to look at the verses where Christ taught the greatest commandment. I didn't want to just look them up. I sat and prayed, asking God to remind me of where they are in His Word. I prayed for a while, and the Lord guided me to open His Word. He didn't want me to use an electronic version where I could just look it up and zoom to the verse. He wanted me to handle His Word so He could show me things as I looked for the verse. I opened the Bible randomly and landed on Revelation. Then with one movement I opened to Matthew 22:37 and saw the commandment! One move! God guided my hands in His Word!

He is so merciful! He is such a loving God! He is so kind to a sinner like me! Praise His name now and forever.

TRUST HIM FOR EVERTHING!!!

HE IS A TRUSTWORTHY GOD!

John 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

There is 5 times ἐγὼ εἰμί in John 8
https://www.greekbible.com/john/8

1 x ἐγὼ εἰμι τὸ φῶς τοῦ κόσμου·
4 x just ἐγὼ εἰμι

so that you might think it is about the 1-4 priciple of Hebrew scripture expressed in the 1:4 ratio of the two trees and in the one river that flowed out of Eden and did divide from there into four heads and in the "ed", mist, that came up from the earth when nothing had yet grown (Genesis 2:6)

Where it says "I am the light of the world" it might be clear that it refers to the light of the first day that God saw to be good , Hebrew "tov" = 17.
called "or haganuz" = the hidden light = the light closed up in a treasure box "genizah" , Greek θησαυρός, "hidden in the field found by a man" (named Richard ;) ) , Matthew 13:44
