Book of Remembrance
And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation,
every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not
fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with
all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.
Esther 9:28ff (Spoke 17, Cycle 1)
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another:
and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of
remembrance was written
before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And they
shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my
jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Malachi 3:16ff (Spoke 17, Cycle 2)
This second epistle, beloved, I now
write unto you; in both which I
stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful
of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the
commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2 Peter 3:1ff (Spoke 17, Cycle 3)
The Book of Malachi ends with the reminder to remember the Law of Moses, saying:
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in
Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Malachi 4:4 (Spoke 17, Cycle 2)
The theme of remembrance is unusually strong in 2 Peter. This word is used three times in three verses:
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of
these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. Yea, I think it
meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ
hath shewed me. Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to
have these things always in remembrance.
2 Peter 1:13ff (Spoke 17, Cycle 3)
Peter then explains the need for this remembrance in terms of the reality and power of the coming
of the Lord Jesus Christ:
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables,
when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2 Peter 1:16 (Spoke 17, Cycle 3)
Exactly the same pattern is followed by the word given by the Lord God Almighty through the Prophet
Malachi:
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in
Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the
prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
Malachi 4:4ff (Spoke 17, Cycle 2)
Of course, the word "before" is לפני lipnei - based on the fundamental Peh KeyWord פנים (panim, face) and greatly
maximized on Spoke 17 in the phrase Before the King. These ideas also
form a profound KeyLink. Searching the
entire KJV for all verses containing the word "coming" within one verse of "rememb*) yields exactly
two passages, Malachi 4.4f and 2 Peter 1.13f, both quoted above:

A similar idea forms a KeyLink between Esther and Malachi:
Esther 2.22f |
Malachi 3.16 |
And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and
Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name.
And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they
were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the
book
of the chronicles before the king.
After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha
the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him. |
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD
hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written
before him for them that
feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. |
The KeyLink set is (book, written, before, within one verse of name):

Note that this KeyLink also includes the Peh idea "Before" (L'Pani). Yet this is but the begininng. Both
Esther and 2 Peter specifically speak about writing a second letter to ensure that
the message is not forgotten (Esther 9.29, 2 Peter 3.1)! We have the KeyLink:
