Maybe the most famous Roman Emperor is famouse for killing his own mother, and his name means "he killed his own mother."

According to Wikipedia:

In Greek, Νερων, Nero, has the numerical value 50+5+100+800+50=1005, the same value as ιδιαν μητερα απεκτεινε (idian metera apekteine)?"He killed his own mother", (10+4+10+1+50) + (40+8+300+5+100+1) + (1+80+5+20+300+5+10+50+5).

How can skeptics explain that?

Hey there Mike,

Welcome to our forum!

:welcome:

That article you cited (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopsephy) also mentions the connection to 666:

In Greek, Νερων, Nero, has the numerical value 50+5+100+800+50=1005, the same value as ιδιαν μητερα απεκτεινε (idian metera apekteine)?"He killed his own mother", (10+4+10+1+50) + (40+8+300+5+100+1) + (1+80+5+20+300+5+10+50+5). A famous example is 666 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_the_Beast) in the Biblical Book of Revelation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Revelation) (13:18): "Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six" (The word rendered here "count", ψηφισάτω, psephisato, has the same "pebble" root as the word isopsephy).[7] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopsephy#cite_note-7)[8] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopsephy#cite_note-8) The Greek Neron Kaisar (Nero (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nero) Caesar in Latin/English) when transliterated into Hebrew gematria (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gematria) = "six hundred sixty-six".

So how do I explain the coincidence that one version of his name sums to the same number as the phrase "he killed his own mother"? The most likely answer is "mere coincidence." If you think there is a way to discern between random chance and "intelligent design" when it comes to numerology, please let me know! I'd love to discuss it with you because I spent many years believing in numerology and looking for ways to prove it, but never found any. And so I eventually quit believing in it.

A house has an inside and an outside , an "esoten" and an "exoten" -- that's what "two" is all about

So no wonder that "bet" (= house) is the second letter with numerical value 2.

Which proves the validity of gematria"

Matthew 6:5-6,

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door (= "delet" = 4) pray to thy Father (= ?lef"= 1) which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

You can also sit on the roof

Matthew 24:17,

Let him which is on the housetop (= "hey"= 5) not come down to take any thing out of his house:

"hey" the letter added to Abraham's name

Maybe all of the universe is just coincidence :winking0071:

Here you have it, Geneis 15:5,

And He took him outside, and He said, "Please look heavenward and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And He said to him, "So will be your seed."

He took him outside = out of the house == "look heavenward" = go sit on the roof

count the stars -- "safar"= to count ; "mispar" = number, gematria ; "sefer" = book , bible.

"so will be your seed" - taken up in Matthew 1 : 1 Βίβλος γενέσεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ υἱοῦ Δαυὶδ υἱοῦ Ἀβραάμ. = the bible of birth of Jesus Christ son of Davidson of Abraham (with the letter "hey' in his name)

we saw his star -- that had to be counted by Abraham ...

star = Hebrew "kochav" gematria 42, like the 42 generations from Abraham to Jesus (if you don't count the "vav" -- as being mater lectionis) --

"kochav"= "k' kaf-bet"= like the 22 letters of Hebrew alphabet

Ha, the best proof of the validity of gematria is Abraham's namechange

Abram = 243

Abraham = 248

243 is a special number , since it is 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3

more, it is gematria of "g'mar" = end, completion, conclusion.

Rashi on Genesis 17:1,

"and be perfect" - Now you are missing [control over] five organs: two eyes, two ears, and the male organ. I will add a letter to your name, and the numerical value of your letters [of your name] will be 248, corresponding to the number of your organs .

" I will add a letter to your name"

cf. Rashi on Genesis 1:31,

the sixth day: Scripture added a "hey" on the sixth [day], at the completion of the Creation

He did link it together, intentionally, since he uses here the word "g'mar" (= 243),for "at the completion of creation" he has בגמר מעשה בראשית, "big'mar maaseh b'reishit"

And you knew already (or maybe not) that the gematria of "yom shishi"-- i.e. "yom hashihsi" without the letter "hey" -- is 666

presented in Revelation 13:18, as "here is the wisdom"

And also that this is about the name of God, the Tetragrammaton, that is present in the initial letter of "yom hashishi vay'hulu hashamyim" the last two words of Genesis 1:31 and the first two words of Genesis 2:1

The name of God that further isn't mentioned in the first story of creation, except for alluded to in the verse "And God said , Let us make man etc." -- which is the 26th verse from the beginning , 26 being the gematria of the name.

which means that God in his essence, in his inner being, is a gematria.

That versenumber 26 should allude to the name of God is like a seed, the seed sown by the sower that was taken away immediately by the evil one so that it couldn't produce hundredfold = "meah sh'arim" ( Genesis 26:12) = 666 :winking0071:

I myself am not strong in numerology, and to be honest, I considered it a pseudoscience for the entertainment of gullible people. But the difficult divorce from my husband, even though everything was fine, forced me to look for an explanation. In this terrible period for me, numerology helped me find the answers. One knowledgeable person helped me with this because it is complicated to read numbers independently. It turned out that I was destined to meet the real and true love in my life only after 30 years, and everything that was before that was just an experience. So I decided to understand the numbers on my own, and the astrology portal(https://www.zodiacsigns-horoscope.com/angel-numbers/angel-number-777-meaning/) helps me a little. But if you could decipher my name - Timati, I'll be very grateful.
