This is an analogy to try and understand the Creation story. We must understand that Genesis was written by ancient people who have no idea or vocabulary of servers, robots etc. And thus they were using things that they knew to describe things that they do not know to their best ability e.g. tree of knowledge of good and evil could describe a machine i.e. computer, server, mainframe or software that produced knowledge of good and evil.

This is a story of Mr. Maker(i.e. God) the robot maker and his robots. Mr. Maker made a robot and wanted to test for bugs to determine if the robot programs are obedient to his commands. He wanted to know if given free-will to his robots, will his robot be skewed towards good or towards evil. If they were skilled towards evil then they must eventually destroyed.

Genesis 2:7*Then the Lord God formed a man[c] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Mr. Maker made a robot call Robot Adam out of organic material(iron, oxygen, carbon etc.) taken from the ground and made it a living robot.
................
*The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16*And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17*but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
Mr. Maker took Robot Adam to work in his company. He commanded Robot Adam with an obedience test "You are allowed to use any software in this server but not the software from the server of the knowledge of good and evil. The moment you install it, your system will be corrupted and you will surely stop functioning after a certain period of time".

18*The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
Mr. Maker wanted to create another robot to help Robot Adam and to keep company and to procreate.

19*Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20*So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
Mr. Maker also created all sorts of robots and tested what the Robot Adam will named them.

But for Adam[f] no suitable helper was found. 21*So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[g] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22*Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[h] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
Mr. Maker cloned Robot Adam to made a suitable robot Robot Eve to help him since none is found good for him.

23*The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones
****and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
****for she was taken out of man.”
24*That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
Robot Adam called Robot Eve, "woman" (wife of man). From now on male and female robots will leave their parental robots and mate to procreate.

25*Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
Robot Adam and Robot Eve were not aware that they were naked (without outer covering) robots and did not know the meaning of shame.

3*Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
Mr. Maker also made an intelligent robot named Robot Serpent to serve as a tester. Robot Serpent asked Robot Eve if Mr. Maker really asked her not to install any software.

2*The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3*but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
Robot Eve replied that they can use any software except the software from the server of the knowledge of good and evil, not even to touch it or her system will fail.

4*“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5*“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Robot Serpent said to Robot Eve, "Your system will not fail but the moment you installed the software of the knowledge of good and evil, you will become conscious, wise, free-will and know what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil".

6*When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7*Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Robot Eve noted that the software sounds good and installed it as she wanted to be wise. She also gave the software to Robot Adam who also installed it. After that, they became conscious and realized that they were naked robots and make coverings to cover their naked robotic makeup.
...............
11*And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
Mr. Maker asked "who told you you were naked robots? Have you installed the software that I told you not to?

12*The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
Robot Eve gave the software to me and I installed it.

13*Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
Mr. Maker asked Robot Eve and she said Robot Serpent tricked her naughtily into installing the corrupted software.

14*So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all livestock
****and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
****and you will eat dust
****all the days of your life.
15And I will put enmity
****between you and the woman,
****and between your offspring[a] and hers;
he will crush[b] your head,
****and you will strike his heel.”
Mr. Maker said to Robot Serpent, "You have naughtily hacked and corrupted the robotic system with evil in Robot Eve and Robot Adam which was not what I intended you to do, now whatever offspring robots Robot Eve produced will now have your corrupted evil features. Your corrupted evil offspring will fight against the good offspring of Adam. I will punished you by making you crawl on your belly and "eating" dirty (evil) things (? Do all the evil things).

16*To the woman he said,
“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
****with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
****and he will rule over you.”
To Robot Eve, Mr. Maker said, "I will make your childbearing very severe and labor painful as a reminder not to be deceived by the Robot Serpent again. You will be attached to your husband who will protect and lead you as you are more vulnerable".

17*To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’
“Cursed is the ground because of you;
****through painful toil you will eat food from it
****all the days of your life.
18*
It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
****and you will eat the plants of the field.
19*
By the sweat of your brow
****you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
****since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
****and to dust you will return.”
To Adam, Mr. Maker said, "Because you listened to your wife and disobeyed my command that I programed, not to install the corrupted evil software, you will do now hard labor and eat the produce from it. You will be degraded to your original organic material that you were made of after a period of time".

21*The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22*And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23*So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24*After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side[e] of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Mr. Maker then made proper covering of skin for the robotic makeup of Rot Eve and Robot Adam. Now both Robot Adam and Robot Eve are like the Mr. Maker, knowing what is right and what is evil (because they are skewed towards evil), they must not have access to the software of life and live forever (or they and their offsprings will forever be evil). Mr. Maker then make security features to encrypt and protect the software of life.

Sounds logical isn't it? I hope RAM will love it. :D

Meditate on these passages:

Isaiah 55:9
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
The robots will never be as wise or as cultured as its robotmaker.

Isaiah 29:16
You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, “You did not make me”? Can the pot say to the potter, “You know nothing”?
Can a robot tell his robot maker, "You did not make me? You know nothing"?

Isaiah 45:9
“Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands’?
Can the robot says to his robotmaker, "What are you making? The robotmaker has no hands"?

Isaiah 64:8
Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Yes, we are the robots, You(God) are the robotmaker; we are all your creations.

Psalm 82:6
“I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’
I said, "You are robots, the gods; you are all the creations of the Most High"

Matthew 24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
28 “‘An enemy did this,
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”
Eventually, all evil robots will be destroyed when the time is ripe. Can,t do it now or the good robots wil also be destroyed when they are still maturing and under testing.

Jeremiah 18: So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.
The robotmaker always strive to make better robots so that his robots are of high quality and reject those which did not meet his quality standards.

Hello Cheow

Thank you for that good set of passages to meditate on. Here is another passage which sums up the situation with the Great Potter.

Romans 9
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

All the best

David

Thank you David.

Another food for thought in the above passages:
Can a robot challenged the robot maker why did he made him in the way he made it?
Does the robot maker has the right to make different robots of different qualities and abilities?
Does the robot maker has the right to destroy his faulty and evil robots after enduring and hoping that they will repair themselves by their own free will to become good high quality robots?

God Bless.
