2 Enoch's, 2, Lamech's, and 2 Jacob's (supplanter: to take the place of..), but lots of Joseph's, Simon's, Mary's, etc. The Enoch who "walked with God" was 7th from Adam, and his grandson Lamech was 9th, and the 2nd Jacob (in Matthew chapter 1) was 63rd in the generations leading to Jesus.

The Joseph (son of Jacob) with coat of many colors was NOT in the pedigree of Jesus, and neither is the Joseph (husband of Mary) ! Many other Joseph's (maybe eleven?), but only two with father named Jacob!

Add to this: the 3x14 of Matthew is a take-off on the 3x10 leading to David#33 (included 3 skips!) :typing:
Noah#10, Abram#20, Boaz#30, but the ten of Ruth4:18 should've started with Isaac..

Our 36th and 37th Prez each had two daughters--so did Pres #43 and 44, the number 22 has Bible significance, so could be a spiritual message? (Mainly because of the many brothers in OT..):yo:

Two special sons of David were Solomon and Nathan -- a King and a Priest, like Rev 1:6 and 5:10.
Solomon is listed in Matthew 1:6 and Nathan is listed in Luke 3:31.

IMO this isn't referring to NOAH'S FLOOD, but rather to the flood state of Genesis 1:2. With the "hindsight" of Isa45:18 and Jer4:23, we begin to understand how initial situations are modified by later references.

Genesis tells of TWO FLOODS, not Noah's only. The Gen 1:2 flood probably (IMO) finished off the dinosaurs and neanderthals. :winking0071:
