No criticizm of Luke for adding the bogus 'Cainan' following Arphaxad in the second group of TEN -- Luke was obeying the HS with that stumbling block which adds difficulty in seeing how the 66 generations from Adam to Jesus matches the 66 books of the Bible, "THE WORD", so that we no longer question whether more books belong or some should be eliminated.

Luke's Genealogy features the "Priestly Line" by starting with Zacharias and Elisabeth, and including numerous Josephs, as opposed to the King Line of Matthew with only the One Joseph, father of Mary, who had no sons! (Like Noah and others who had no daughters). The 74 generations of Luke are a contrast to the 66 generations of Matthew, to illustrate how generations are flexible and not tied to a specific number of years. :yo:

Let me get this clear. Did you just say that God told Luke to LIE so that it would make seeing the truth more difficult?

Got your attention, Ram? That's just one way of looking at it, because: Jer1:12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

My original take was that a copyist made the error, and seems logical because of the proximity of the true Cainan #4, but when the many HIDDEN things are uncovered (like the NEW LEAVEN for getting the BreadChurch: 1Cor10:17 "For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread", to RISE and meet the Lord in the clouds), haha,
so maybe our 'Father' has done the hiding from his kids ?? You think? :winking0071:

The NEW LEAVEN, is from Colossians 1:27 "Christ in you", which is also a way of saying how you become pregnant (like Mary) with the SEED of the Husbandman. OK? :thumb:
