:bcake: WHY should we be "born-again"? Under the Old Covenant they had to be born a King (son of a king), or born a Priest (Levitical line), and they couldn't be both, as attested to by king Saul and king Uzziah. Now we can be kings AND priests, Rev5:10, when we're born-again of the Incorruptible Seed, 1Pet1:23. The KING LINE, like Solomon, is from Matthew, and the PRIEST LINE, like Nathan, is from Luke. Amen? :thumb:

John 3:3 has "born from above" , which Nicodemus understood as "born again"
1 Peter1:23 has ἀναγεγεννημένοι = having been given new birth (life) , which is something else than born again.

Apostle Paul wrote 'If any be ignorant, LET HIM be ignorant'. 1Cor14:38 - MAYBE athiests and agnostics are born that way?? :winking0071:
