No matter how people try to modernize the Bible to make it more egalitarian and woman friendly, it will always be a book written by men, about men and a male god who gives privilege and preference to the male gender...no amount of rewording will change that. The biblical gender knot can never be untied, because the male bias of the Bible is woven into the structure it is built upon.
