:playball: The Butler's Dream - Meant LIFE on the 3rd Day
And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me; And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes: And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand. And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days: Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler. Gen40:9-13
This is one of several "third day" accounts in scripture, and note the similarities to the communion cup, and not forgetting how Jesus described himself as the True Vine in John 15.

The Baker's Dream - Meant DEATH on the 3rd Day
When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head: And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.
And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days: Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee. Gen40:16-19.

Note that "three days" is represented by 3 branches as well as 3 baskets, and that bakemeats is a word used for bread. The Baker had the wrong kind of bread in his top basket. We're all entitled to our own opinion, and may also respect the word of wise men and professors and such, but it's the Word of God that belongs in the uppermost basket. When the bread comes from your own head; you're dead! :winking0071:

The Baker's Dream - Meant DEATH on the 3rd Day

Thanks for this. I make the following association with the death of Jesus.

At the end of the third day was when Jesus received new life. The end of the third day was when the "devil" (part of human nature) in Jesus died. The devil had lost the battle and was dead to Jesus. While Jesus was in the grave, death was having a short victory, but when Jesus rose from the dead, the "devil" that used to be in Jesus had lost the battle and Jesus gained the victory. Once Jesus was given his incorruptible body and since the devil did not get the better of him, the devil was no longer in Jesus and Jesus could not be tempted anymore. The devil (part of our nature) which is in us, remains until we are given the same incorruptible body (as Jesus was given) at the resurrection. It is only by the death of Jesus and his covering for our sins that we can have the same victory over the devil which is in us. Our own devil within us is finally defeated when we are raised to new life for eternity.
