20/20 Hindsight ?
:peep:
When was this phrase first used? Surely not before 20-20 accepted as eyesight parameter, but 'hindsight' is similar to Monday Morning Quarterbacks, following the game held on Sunday previous.
Jeremiah 14:5 "Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass". The word 'hind' in scripture is thought to refer to a small deer.
Personally I believe it refers to Bible subjects which aren't fully explained at first, but are explained more fully later on. Like we don't give all the facts to our kids at first, but leave 'birds & bees' details for when they are more mature.
You think? :winking0071:

An example of multiple fulfillment is about the two dreams of the Pharaoh. First he dreamed about the seven cows who ate the seven cows, and next he dreamed about the seven ears of corn who ate another seven ears of corn. Joseph said the two dreams were "One" and told him about the seven years of good harvest which would be followed by seven years of famine.
Sure enough, it came to pass like Joseph said, and he was chosen to be in charge of the harvest (the bread), putting a portion of the good harvest years towards their survival during the lean years.
Now, since we learned about Jesus being the True Bread and The Word, we can recognize the allegory of the Bible being the 'bread' that was stored up for us to read in these latter days. So the dreams can be seen as having a double fulfillment, with the first seven years applying to the Rachel-7 of the Jews, and the second seven to the Leah-7 of the Gentiles.
The Two Wives a type of The Two Covenants; lasting ~2,000 yrs. each. Gal 4:24.
Rachel ('Ewe') was barren all during the time the first ten sons of Jacob were born, but she finally had the Son, Joseph, with the coat of many colors. [a type of Jesus the Lamb, who came "in a body prepared", and offering salvation to all races and colors of mankind.] She died in childbirth with Benjamin (son of Right-hand) on outskirts of Bethlehem ('House of Bread').
Leah the 'unloved' was the fruitful wife who had six sons and daughter Dinah. :chores015:

While reading the part about Pharaoh and his dreams, interpretation by Joseph and the outcome i had and interesting observation(?). Upon hearing Josephs translation Pharaoh must have choose to believe or have faith in that interpretation enough that he Immediately put Joseph in charge of the harvest for the fat years in preparation for the Lean Years. In other words he believed it BEFORE it come to pass not After... if he believed it after then it would have been too late and the dreams and interpretation would have passed without consequence.
With Utter devotion to Love and Truth,
