:chores015:Gen7:11 "In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened".

Noah's Flood occurred in 1656 AA (after Adam), when Noah was 600 years old. Then he lived beyond the Flood to the age of 950.

Therefore, the Ten Generations of Adam-Noah lasted 1656+350=2006 years.
That would be an interesting number (2006) a few years back, and there doesn't seem to be any good reason to double the '6' -- you think?

Besides, the 17th (9+8) of February isn't an auspicious day, is it?

The 2nd group of Ten Generations is found in Gen11 and 1Chr1 24-27. Shem to Abraham

The 3rd group of Ten is at Ruth 4:18 (but 'skips' three names..):winking0071:

The Torah is about 26 generations

10 from Adam to Noach
5 from Shem to Peleg
6 from Reu to Isaac
5 from Jacob to Moses (via Levi).

Thus expressing the name of God.

Strange thing is that Genesis 11 stops with Abra(ha)m.

Genesis 11:20 says "And Sarai was barren; she had no child."

Got holding the keys of her womb?

:ranger:Like you say, Moses is Levi tribe -- but Jesus is thru Judah, not Levi..
Father to Son until the line finally came to someone who had no son... OK?

:eek:Gen27:36 And Esau said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?

Esau lied! He sold his birthright for 'peanuts' (cereal), and ...

Heb12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. This info held off, and probably not known w/o the Book of Hebrews..

The Joseph, son of Jacob, in Egypt, had two sons but NO daughters!
The Joseph, son of Jacob, in Matthew had a daugher, but NO sons!

Should have considered after reading of Zelophehad in Numb26 who had 5 daughters(one named Noah!),
but NO sons. :yo:
