:cool3: Jesus referred to GOD as "Father", so we naturally refer to "Our Heavenly Father".
"Thine Maker is thine HUSBAND"! Isa54:5 - Taken seriously, this verse tells us about GOD being a "husband" as well as a "Father", and is a basis for concluding how Mary's husband and father both may have had the same name of Joseph. There are eleven Joseph's in the Bible, if you count carefully, and the Joseph in Egypt was 'the beloved eleventh son'.
Jesus knew Mary as his mother, and both his father and grandfather were named Joseph! Gives new meaning to the modern term of 'grandfathered', maybe? It can't be proven, but would support the understanding of how the Joseph in Matt 1:16 is Mary's father rather than her husband, because her husband really has no business being in the father-to-son pedigree of Jesus.
Amen? :winking0071:
