I should be more detailed on the subject. The author Esther Fuchs analyses many women and their motivations in the bible.
What got my attention is the sacrificial role played by Tamar; the patience she had to bring children for Er upon Judah's request. She waited the youngest to be grown up. But when she noticed Judah hesitated fearing the youngest might be killed by God as well, she decided to bring children for Judah instead.
Why didn't God kill Judah as he killed his 2 sons when Judah committed fornication? Judah was afraid to give his youngest but wasn't afraid to commit fornication? We don't know all the answers. But Judah told Tamar that she was more righteous than he. All she cared about was to bring children for Judah before she leaves the age of bearing...quite sacrificial.
Another sacrificial act was Ruth. She could've and would have the right to go back to her people but decided to stay committed to her mother-in-law. And through her she met Boaz.
What about Michal who lied to her father only to save innocent David from being killed?

Yes indeed, that looks like a good read. And it's available for a free download. Thanks for sharing it.
