:huhsign: Sons of Thunder!
We don’t find the name Zebedee Boanerges in the Bible.

We first hear of Zebedee in the Book of Matthew – 'And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them'. Mt4:21

They didn’t use surnames in the Old Testament although Isaiah 44:5 and 45:4 speaks of them. Folks back then apparently had just one name, and usually were identified by the name of their father, or in some cases by their city. Jesus seems to be changing that…

Mk3:16: 'And Simon he surnamed Peter' – 'And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Mt 16:16 (Surnamed in Mark, but applied in Matthew—a right to left strategy?)

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Mt 16:17
'And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder' Mark3:17

Doesn’t logic require Zebedee’s last name to be Boanerges? Or, just for grins, is he saying that now they can call their father 'Thunder'? :sBo_reflection2:
