'As you read the material below, remember that these 6 facts come straight from the Bible. They are not my opinion, and they aren't wild speculation on my part. Then ask yourself this question: 'Why haven't I heard this before—in church?'

Fact 1: His Name is Yahweh

Yahweh is called the Divine Name and the Tetragrammaton, or four-letter word, because it has four letters in Hebrew. Most Jewish people won’t even say Yahweh. Instead, they say HASHEM—a Hebrew word that means 'The Name', or they say Adonai—the Hebrew word for Lord. Yahweh is also called the Ineffable Name, or the unspeakable Name, but God’s Name is not unspeakable.

Fact 2: Yahweh's Name has been Edited Out of Most Bible Translations

Yahweh’s Name doesn’t appear one time in the text of the three most popular English Bible translations on the market today. The King James Bible, the New American Standard Bible, and the New International Version substitute the titles 'LORD' and 'GOD' with all the letters capitalized where the Name 'Yahweh' actually belongs.

Jewish religious leaders introduced this tradition in the mid-2nd century B.C., and it has continued since that time. This man-made tradition—which achieved near-universal acceptance in 1611 A.D. when the King James Bible editors failed to include the Name 'Yahweh' in their inaugural edition—is wrong and dangerous for two reasons. First, it nullifies Yahweh’s explicit command to tell the world that we have only One God—Yahweh. Second, according to the Bible, Yahweh is the only Name in which we have salvation. That’s a startling fact to most Christians because they have never heard a preacher say it from the pulpit, but it is true nonetheless. Studying this website and the manuscript for HIS NAME IS YAHWEH will confirm it.

Bible scholar and author Charles Ryrie said the Name 'Yahweh' appears exactly 6,823 times in the Old Testament. Since the New Testament is loaded with direct quotes and paraphrased passages from the Old Testament, the Name 'Yahweh' should appear all over the New Testament as well. Unfortunately, most Christians have never seen Yahweh’s Name in print, and as I said before, very few of them have heard a preacher declare Yahweh's Name from the pulpit. Since we were commanded to declare Yahweh's Name to the world, this is a serious problem.

Fact 3: 'LORD' and 'GOD' are Titles—Not Names

'LORD' and 'GOD' are titles—not names, and Yahweh never even hinted that we should declare His titles to the world. These two titles can be applied appropriately to wood, rock, or metal, and Yahweh Himself refers to anything fashioned into an idol for worship as either a 'god' or a 'lord.' Since these two titles don’t distinguish between Yahweh and inanimate objects and false deities, it makes no sense to believe they are appropriate substitutes for His Name. In truth, there is no substitute for the Name 'Yahweh.'

Fact 4: Yahweh Commanded Us to Tell People Who He is by Name

Yahweh means 'I AM', and 'I AM' is one of His Names. In Exodus 3: 13-15, God told Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM; thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’' Then He added this command:

'Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This (Yahweh) is My Name forever, the Name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.' (NIV)

'Forever' means without end so it’s obvious that Yahweh never intended for us to substitute 'LORD' and 'GOD' for His Name. Since Yahweh instructed Moses to tell the Children of Israel to remember Him by the Name Yahweh 'from generation to generation', it’s perfectly clear that He wants everyone to know His Name, to call on Him by Name, and to tell people about Him by Name.

Fact 5: Yahweh is Our Only Savior and Jesus is Yahweh

Jeremiah 23: 5-6 tells us plainly that the Messiah’s Name is Yahweh. This fact can’t be refuted by anyone. It’s so crystal clear in Hebrew that only Christians who know very little or nothing about Hebrew would even dare to deny it. Regrettably, most seminary-trained preachers know almost nothing about Hebrew, so it’s common for them to be ignorant about this fact even though it’s THE CENTRAL MESSAGE in the New Testament and the Old Testament.

In Philippians 2: 9-11, the apostle Paul was referring to the Name 'Yahweh' when he said, 'God…bestowed on Him (Jesus) the Name which is above every name, so that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.'

Yahweh is the Name God bestowed on Jesus; Yahweh is the Name that is above every name; and Yahweh is the Name to which every knee will bow when He returns.

In Philippians 2: 9-11, Paul was paraphrasing Isaiah 45: 21-24. This is what Yahweh told Isaiah:

'And there is no other God besides Me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none except Me. Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself, the Word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness and will not turn back, that to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance, they will say of Me, ‘Only in Yahweh are righteousness and strength.’ Men will come to Him and all who were angry with Him shall be put to shame.'

In Isaiah 43: 11, Yahweh said, 'I, even I, am Yahweh, and there is no savior besides Me.' It’s almost impossible to misinterpret that verse because it’s so simple, so clear, and so direct. In John 8: 58 Jesus said, 'Before Abraham was born, I AM.' To misunderstand what He meant, you have to be ignorant about the fact that Yahweh told Moses that He is I AM.

The Bible repeats these 4 essential facts again and again and again:

1. Yahweh is our only Savior and our only God.

2. Jesus is Yahweh.

3. Yahweh commanded us to declare His Name to the world.

4. Yahweh is the only Name in which we have salvation.

It’s heartbreaking that most Christians don’t know the Name of their God—especially now. We live at a time when people around the world are being told by political and religious leaders that we all worship the same god, but we call him by different names. That’s not true. All of us don’t worship the same god. Satan must be the source of that lie. He has the most to gain from us not knowing Yahweh’s Name and not declaring it to the world, but Satan’s lies can’t change the truth one iota. Satan can deceive us and make it difficult for us to see, but he has no power to alter Yahweh's Word.

There is only One God; His Name is Yahweh; and the Person most Christians call Jesus is Yahweh. That's the message of the Scriptures in a nutshell. Yahweh came in Person to redeem, deliver, and save His people, and He is our righteousness.

Fact 6: We Have Salvation in Only One Name—Yahweh

Joel 2: 32 says, 'Everyone who calls on the Name of Yahweh will be delivered (or saved).' In Acts 2: 21, Peter quoted Joel 2: 32, and in Romans 10: 13, Paul delivered Joel’s and Peter’s message precisely. In Acts 4: 12, Peter went even further—'And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.'

It doesn’t get any clearer than that. We have salvation in only One Name—Yahweh. That’s what the Bible actually says again and again and again. It’s a disturbing fact that most preachers have failed to deliver this message to their congregations.

Yahweh said He is our only Savior. Jesus said He is Yahweh. Joel, Peter, and Paul said that everyone who calls on the Name of Yahweh will be saved. Peter said there is no other name by which we must be saved. These aren’t ordinary witnesses, and their testimony is so clear and it’s repeated so often in the Bible that you need help to be confused. It's time for preachers to start proclaiming Yahweh's Name.

Sounds good to me, Charisma -- I can see it your way too... Of all the 'redemptive' names, I think of Jehovah Rapha,"the God that healeth ME", Ex15:26, most of all.

Jehovah itself (means "the Existing One") is a "NEW Name" according to Exodus 6:3. "I appeared unto Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by the name of GOD ALMIGHTY, but by my name Jehovah was I NOT known to them". El Elyon and El Shaddai (Almighty God and The Breasty One, Gen49:25) were apparently the names of God known in the Genesis Era. Strongs H7699 refers. Now of course it's the New Name of Jesus first found in the Book of Matthew which contrasts with Emmanuel from the OT. The double and multiples names are a study in themselves! amen?:yo:

Hi dux,

This is interesting, from the Sacred Names Bible (sacrednamebible.com).

Acts of the Apostles:

Chapter 2

1
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

6
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

7
And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

8
And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

9
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

10
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

11
Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of ELOHIYM.

12
And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

13
Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

14
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith YHVH, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of YHVH come:

21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of YHVH shall be saved.

22
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; YAHSHUA of Nazareth, a man approved of YHVH among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which ELOHIYM did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

23
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of YHVH, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

24
Whom YHVH hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

25
For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw YHVH always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

26
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

27
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine CHACIYD to see corruption.

28
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

29
Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that ELOHIYM had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up MASHIYACH to sit on his throne;

31
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of MASHIYACH, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

32
This YAHSHUA hath ELOHIYM raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

33
Therefore being by the right hand of ELOHIYM exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, YHVH said unto my ADOWN, Sit thou on my right hand,

35
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

36
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that ELOHIYM hath made the same YAHSHUA, whom ye have crucified, both ADONAY and MASHIYACH.

37
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of YAHSHUA MASHIYACH for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as YHVH our ELOHIYM shall call.

40
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44
And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47
Praising ELOHIYM, and having favour with all the people. And YHVH added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Hi Charisma,

Yes, the many different languages would, of course, result in many different names for all kinds of things. When it comes to the name of Jesus (my American culture and pronunciation), it often reminds me of the Hebrew 'Joshua' whom I take as a precept of Jesus. In that 1st battle against Amalek, when the hands of Moses were being held up by Aaron and Hur, it was JOSHUA in the background who was doing the winning except for when the hands were lowered. Ex17:13 Be Blessed! :thumb:

Hi Charisma and Dux,

Good link.
This brings up many questions (and answers.)

IHVH is the Father and God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Jesus said to pray in his name to the Father.
One spelling of Jesus' name is IHV(sh)Ayin. Yod He Vav Shin Ayin. "Jehoshua."

I can see the "fire (Shin) in the middle" making sense. The same meaning of the word "Pyramid." And Jesus saying that he came to bring fire on the earth, and that it was already kindled.

Maybe someone here could comment on why the final Hey is replaced by Ayin??? Possibly a Hebrew rule of Grammar.

Also to pray in Jesus name has always seemed ambiguous or misunderstood to me. Many churches end all their prayers with the phrase "In Jesus name we pray."
I don't think that this is what it means. Jesus did not tell us to say we were praying in his name, he said to pray in his name.

The study of the God names has long been part and parcel of the study of the Qabalah which is the study of the Tree of life Glyph.
http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr150/BobMay2008/GodNamesonTreeofLife.jpg

Though the names are not always the same, (depending on the particular school) the sphere of Chokmah or (Wisdom) is considered that of the Father. The "God Name" is always rendered either Jah (IH) or Jehovah (IHVH). (I Am)
This is the second sphere on the tree. The first being Kether (Crown) and designated Eheieh (I am that I am).

Just some thoughts,
Bob
