View Full Version : The fool says in his heart, "There is no God"
The fool says in his heart, "THERE IS NO GOD". RAM and Rose, care to refute? We are eagerly awaiting for your response:
Psalms 14:1 and Psalms 53:1 The fool says in his heart,
'There is no God.'
They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
there is no one who does good.
2 God looks down from heaven
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.
3 Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.
Reminds me of what Paul said,
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".
Many Blessings.

I don't recall either Richard or myself saying "there is no God", rather we have said "there is no God such as that portrayed in the Bible"...quite a difference!
I have repeatedly stated my premise on why I do not believe the Bible is the word of God, based on understanding that its foundation has been constructed by men (male). The content of the Bible is totally skewed, and biased toward the man and against the woman, creating an imbalance, this is proof that the authors of the Bible were men who created a god in their own image.
All the Best,

Well stated! I have been repeating the same thing to CWH forever and he refuses to understand. There is a world of difference between criticizing "God" and criticizing what the Bible says about "God." But some folks just don't want to see. The funny thing is, they seem to think their darkness is light! And there's no darkness darker than that:
Matthew 6:23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

If the Bible is not word of God then what is? The Bible is a collection of writings (historical and mythological) that show how man throughout history has perceived and experienced what they thought was the divine.
If the Bible is not word of God, why are we here discussing something that is call the Bible? Just because the Bible is not the word of God does not mean it doesn't contain wisdom and truth.
If the Bible is not word of God then it is as good as there is no God. That's not true - it just means that there is no God like the one portrayed in the Bible.
If men created god in their own image then what or who is God? I don't know? All I can tell you is what God is NOT.

CWH ASKED:
If the Bible is not word of God, why are we here discussing something that is call the Bible?
Rose replied:
Just because the Bible is not the word of God does not mean it doesn't contain wisdom and truth.
So we are at the mercy of the wisdom of almighty Rose to determine for us what is truth.

Now, that was a pretty silly and sarcastic statement! Do you like flinging crap at people? If not why do you do it?
I have been conducting myself in a very congenial manner and all you do is stick your nose in and fling crap at me! What's up with that?
