Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. John 8:28

The readers of Psalm 22 may have decided David was COMPLAINING when he cried "Eloi - Eloi, lama sabachthani" (My God, my God, Why have you forsaken me?), and when Jesus reiterated that from the cross, in Mk15:34, it seemed to many that he was puzzled at this turn of events. Or was he just referring to that 22nd Psalm as a way of confirming that prophecy?

22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
22:18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
22:31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Like those who know the music or poetry from the first line, Jesus was referring to that psalm as a way of telling them who he was! Those who believed in Him would know for sure! He was QUOTING SCRIPTURE! And isn't that appropriate for the 22nd spoke?

Yes indeed, it was exceedingly appropriate for the 22 Spoke! The 22nd letter Tav denotes a sign, mark, or cross, and one of it's ancient forms look like the traditional cross of Christ. I first learned this from Ben Yehudah's Pocket Hebrew Dictionary. Here's a pic from his Tav page:

Here are a few articles I've written along these lines:

Spoke 22: Sealed with the Sign of the Cross

Psalm 22: The Psalm of the Cross (http://biblewheel.com/InnerWheels/Psalms/Psalm22.asp)

I've seen that same Tau somewhere on the internet..
Thought I'd get some static for this post..was thinking of the verb 'spoke' and how John6:63 about the words that he spoke..
Yesterday searched for the 'when / then' pair and it came up on 39 books of the Bible -- didn't try to count all the examples but it might be worthwhile..?
No objection to Geronimo? To me its what you shout as you pull the ripcord! ha.
