I wanted to share a few things I've noticed from the book of Judges:
the 1100 shekels of silver in Jugdes 16 and 17;
Samson's riddles/parables to his enemies;
The tribe of Dan without any inheritance in Samson's time (Samson was a Danite);
The 1100 shekels of silver in Jugdes 16 and 17
In Judges 16:5 each lord of the Philistines gave Delilah 1100 pieces of silver to betray Samson to them.
In Judges 17:2,3 Micah found the 1100 or had the amount which belonged to his mother. I find this chapter is strangely narrated, as if the story continues from somewhere else.
Samson's riddles/parables to his enemies
This is one thing in common with Jesus Christ, that he spoke with parables to his enemies that they won't be able to understand what he's saying. When Jesus was falsely accused he began speaking in parables to the multitudes, but he explained it to his disciples. And if they want to find out the meaning...search, search, search!!!
The tribe of Dan without any inheritance in Samson's time (Samson was a Danite)
This is strange. The last Judge was Samson who came from a tribe which had no inheritance yet.
Dan means judge right? So does Shophatim, the title for this book.
