The word used is heykal. It could be just a synonym for ohel (tabernacle) which is used in the next chapter:

1 Samuel 2:22 Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle (ohel) of the congregation.
But on the other hand, it could be an anachronism. There are a number of anachronisms scattered throughout the OT. For example, the city of Dan is mentioned in Gen 14:14 but did not get that name until much later (Joshua 19:47). The reason it seems anachronistic is because the Tabernacle (Ohel) is never called the "Heykal YHWH" anywhere else, and Scripture mentions the "posts" (mezzuzah) of the Temple in two other verses (1 Kings 6:33, Ezek 41:21), whereas it never mentions the "posts" of the Tabernacle.

Anachronism shows that something is written much later (or added to clarify the text) such as the numerous mentions of cities in the first five books of the OT.

But I doubt this was anachronistic since Solomon built the Temple in Jerusalem and 1Samuel 1 was in Shiloh.
But why didn't the translators call it Tabernacle?

unfortunately I don't know Greek :(

But I imagine the word for Temple (or Tabernacle) is φλιῶν.
