If your looking for a book that takes a new and refreshing approach to interpreting the creation story of Genesis 1, John Walton's book The Lost World of Genesis 1 (http://www.biblewheel.com/blog/index.php/2010/11/17/the-lost-world-of-genesis-1-by-john-walton/) is an interesting read.
