• SEMINAR THEME: What About The Rapture? The first speech surveys the NT texts which reveal what the first century church expected to see, hear, and experience at the Parousia. Next is a lesson on what the Old Testament says about the Rapture. The third presentation explains how the Rapture occurred (cosmologically) in relation to both the SEEN and UNSEEN realms. The fourth lesson pinpoints the date of the rapture and shows where it fits in the sequence of endtime events. The final lesson discusses the implications of the Rapture for the Church beyond AD 70. Plus there will be two question and answer sessions where we will address some of the more significant objections that critics have raised against the rapture.

• Q&A SESSION – The highlight of our seminars is always answering YOUR specific questions. We prefer to deal with written questions, so as you listen to the lessons, please write down your questions about the Rapture and turn them in to Ed Stevens during the break period.

• EXCELLENT BOOK TABLE for the latest and greatest and hard-to-find preterist books and audio/video media. This will be a good time to get your preterist library in fine shape! Several dozen titles will be available at a discount, with some free door prizes for those who travel the farthest, etc. A free copy of Russell's book, THE PAROUSIA, will be given to every paid registrant when they sign in at the registration table.

• ED STEVENS, SPEAKER – Long time preterist (since graduating from the seminary in 1975), Ed has written five books and published the works of several others, including John Noe, Jessie Mills, J. S. Russell, Arthur Melanson, Al Pigeon, Ian Harding, Dan Harden, and Ken Davies. Ed has defended preterism in two oral debates and two written debates, spoken in numerous seminars all over the country (including OH, PA, FL, NC, CT, NY, NJ, NE, TX, NM, and CA), interviewed on numerous radio talk shows, and sets up an exhibit booth every November at the annual Evangelical Theological Society conferences. He writes a regular column for the quarterly Fulfilled Magazine. He is working on expanded editions of some of his current books.

PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR:
We have invited all of our friends from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Western New York and Ontario, so this will be a great time to meet other fellow believers from the Great Lakes region, learn more about the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy in AD 70, and get your questions answered! Bring your skeptical friends also. Put this on your calendar and start making your plans to be there!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? There is a discount if you register before Sept. 1st. This only covers your seminar registration, which includes a schedule, lesson outlines, and a FREE copy of Russell's book, THE PAROUSIA. The registration fee does NOT cover any meals, lodging, or other travel expenses.

If You Register Before Sept. 1st:

:( Too bad, Richard. I would have loved for you to have been there. I live in TN, so it will be a 8hr drive for me. I haven't completely decided I am going, but I'm thinking about it. Maybe some others here will be able to go.

If I do, maybe I will learn something I can share here.

Thanks for all you do,

Carrie

I wish I could make it too - Ed Stevens (tho I do not agree with all of his views) has been a tremendous influence in the preterist movement and I would so love to meet him face to face!

We are spotlighting this convention next week and will be praying as a community for this event (as well as the other preterist conventions, etc) through the AD70.net Prayer Team. This is a subministry of the Preterist Broadcast Network run by Michael Loomis and we regularly lift those in the preterist community up in prayer.

Check it out if you like: Prayer Team Journal (http://prayer.ad70.net/)and if any have specific requests please let us know at: prayer@ad70.net

Blessings, w

Wanda,

Thanks so much for including this convention in your prayers. :signthankspin:

Prayer is a wonderful way to support the preterist movement, even when you can't attend gatherings.

Many Blessings to you and yours,

Yes, I will be going to the Preterist Convention..... I guessed when I have reached the place of the Preterist Convention, they will tell me that it's all over; it's already past. And no more Convention to look forward to,"So sorry, you are late, you missed the boat....". :D

Many Blessings.

Of course, there's a formulaic copy-cat Futurist version: They said their convention would be really, really soon. That was a thirty years ago ...

Yes. gem,
Laughter is the best medicine. The story continues:

Yes, I will be going to the Preterist Convention..... I guessed when I have reached the place of the Preterist Convention, they will tell me that it's all over; it's already past. And no more Convention to look forward to,"So sorry, you are late, you missed the boat....". Then I look around at the pulpit, no speaker were there and they told me that Jesus came just now in His invisible form and have given a speech invisibly and left invisibly!...and He said He will never return again but will sit at the right hand of God watching the world goes by!.....

So as not to offend the preterists, here is the Futurist's version:
I then went to a Futurist Convention....when I reached there and I saw a lot of futuristic and high tech dispalys with the words "He is Coming soon!". I look around at the pulpit and no speaker was there. Then they then told me that Jesus is supposed to come and give a speech today but He has postponed it...."let me give you another date and time for the next Convention in which this time He will sure to come. Be sure to come and don't be late or you will missed the Rapture!......ehh....you need to pay for the ticket in advance for the next Convention....".

Hope this will give you more laughter :lol:

Many Blessings to you.

The story continues...

Fedup!.... I then went to another Preterist convention and this time they told me, "the convention was closed 70 minutes ago, already past 70 minutes!....why did you come so late?".... "This is the only and last convention". Disappointed, I left and ironically, there was a Futurist convention nearby. I then went to the Futurist convention there and I was told that it is also closed because as typically of Jesus, he always postponed His comings, "Jesus said He would come but always changed His mind last minute, however, He did give us another date for His next convention somewhere in 2012, would you like to come for His next convention?......".....I Gave Up!

I happened to see gem there, and she was laughing away at the mess I was going through...:lol:

Many Blessings.

Is the Gospel according to the apostle Preter another one of those books that didnt quite make it into the 66 books of the final cannon of scripture or what? Kind of like the spastic...sorry... I mean the gnostic gospels? :signthankspin:

Bye Richard. God bless. I promise not to interupt again.

Exactly correct! We all need folks with different points of view because we all have blind spots.

Hi Cheow,
:hysterical: (<--me)

And the story continues.....

Disappointed after all the failures trying to attend a preterist or futurist convention, I decided to go home. I took a plane and was given a middle seat. Seated on my left happened to be a Full Preterist preacher by the name of Richard and seated on my right happened to be a Futurist preacher by the name of Mick. As I turned to my left, the preterist preacher asked me, "Hey friend, did you know that Jesus came in AD 70? Every prophesy was fulfilled by AD 70? We are now living in the New heaven and the New earth, Death has been conquered.....". As I turned to my right, the futurist preacher asked me,"Hey, mate, do you know that Jesus is coming back soon in 2012? Every prophesy will be fulfilled by 2012. Repent! the end is coming soon! And the world will be renewed. Death is yet to be conquered.....". Looking at both of them, I said to myself, "Oh Jesus! Not again!.......".

And then I heard loud laughter from behind, I turned around, and there was gem seated behind me and laughing away :hysterical:......

Many Blessings.

Actually Cheow, I believe that the events that lead up to and including the Battle of Armageddon will be fulfilled by 2027 as Nostradamus had predicted. I am beginning to believe that by 2012 Wormwood will be revealed which would then herald the beginning of the time of the trumpets Rev.8.

Nevertheless, It was good to be included in the joke.
Being recognised right or wrong, is better than being totally ignored!

God bless you.

. . . but I do not want to commit any date for no one not even Jesus or the angels knew the date except God the Father.

I better correct you here, with the term, "Date."
Yes, it says no one knows the DAY NOR THE HOUR,
Yet Jesus clearly states that as the fig tree drops it's leaves, we will be able to see these SIGNS appearing and KNOW when it is close.
As fulfilled prophesies keep mounting, the TIMING of this SEASON which Jesus is talking about, should become more apparent.

I'm happy with your stand by not setting dates. I on the other hand genuinely believe there are enough clues in the bible and historical/current events that back my views.
Every inkling of my spirit is driving me to this conclusion, that's why for the first time in my life, (this year) I've been vocal about it.
Let's see where it leads.

God always let's his annointed know well in advance of any major cataclysm. Maybe he's just telling me a lot sooner because he knows how long it takes for me to get motivated to do something about it!

Here is the article about Wormwood, a bitter herb whose scientific name is Artemisia and coincidentally there is an asteroid Artemis which scientists predicted may hit the Earth in 2033:

Interesting, they named it after a Whore Goddess!

Hi Mick,

Agree with you. No one knows the Day and Hour. But by the time when the signs of His coming are there, then everyone will know with certainty the date, time of His coming. Currently, we can only speculate.

Note the latest addedum to my post:

*Note also the coincidence of the date: Jesus was said to die on the cross in AD 33 and asteroid Artemis is predicted to hit the Earth in 2033 i.e. 2,000 years from AD 33.

Thanks for your insight about the Goddess Artemis who is also known as the Whore, the Virgin Whore, the Whore of Babylon and coincidentally Revelation mentioned about the harlot and the prostitute. Of course, I don't believe the harlot and prostitute of Revelation is the asteroid Artemis; just coincidence of coincidences.

Many Blessings.

Quote:
And the story continues...

In the plane that I was on, FP preacher Mr. Richard was on my left still trying to convince me about AD 70 and on my right Mr. Mick, the Futurist preacher was still trying to convince me about 2012 and 2027. There sitting in front of me was a Number nut by the name of Mr. X who kept repeating the numbers 33, 70, 2012, 2027 and then suddenly he shouted 2033....Wormwood! as he pointed to the plane's window. From the plane's window, we can see a fiery asteroid passing by... And then there was an announcement in the plane, "Ladies and gentlemen, look, it's a plane...No, it's a bird...No....Oh No!..... it's a super asteroid....the asteroid Artemis is predicted to hit the Earth"...............(to be continued).

Many Blessings.

And the story continues:

And another FP by the name of Brother L gave me a pamphlet entitled "Preterist convention in September". As I read the pamphlet, it says:

The place of the convention was on the 70th floor of the building on 70th street.... It can only seat 70 people at any one session. Each session lasts 70 minutes. Those above age 70 cannot attend for they are considered "past". The fee for the convention is $70 per person. And the door to the convention will close exactly 70 seconds after the opening of the convention and after which no one is allowed to enter. You will regret if you missed this convention, the next convention will be 70 days later. Book early to avoid disappointment and booking will closed exactly 70 hours before the start of the convention.....From your Lord, Jesus Christ.

I also saw a picture in the pamphlet and there was a chair on the stage with the words, "This seat is reserved for our invisible Lord Jesus".

gem, are you attending?.... :)

Many Blessings to all. in Jesus Christ, Amen.
