I consider this link an extremely strong one.

Book 16 - Nehemiah - is the Book about Gates. The Jerusalem of Nehemiah was a city built with several gates. Sheol/Hades/Hell/Death is pictured as a metaphorical city that has "gates" as well.

Christ conquered Death by His Resurrection. He triumphed over the Gates of Hell, and so does His Church. Mark 16 narrates Christ's resurrection with a reference to the "door of the sepulchre":

Mar 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
Mar 16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
Mar 16:3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
And this event took place on Nisan 16th! This also links to the words of David in Psalm 16 (http://www.biblewheel.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11862&postcount=16). The sepulchres of David and his family are specially associated with Spoke 16, not only for the sixteenth Psalm but also for the following passages:

2 Chronicles 16:14 And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.

Nehemiah 3:16 After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Bethzur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and to the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty.
