Futurists believe the Parousia cannot possibly be a past event. I would like to understand the reasoning FROM SCRIPTURE why they believe this. Let me start with one simple question that I believe forms the part of the basis for their belief.

What exactly do the "last days" refer to?

Please, no general statements. Please state clearly and succinctly what the "last days" mean to you and then explain why you believe each verse that you bring forth supports your statement.

Let's hammer out one issue at a time...and clear this up once for all.

C'mon futurists. If we preterists are wrong, it is your duty as commanded by God to help us out of our error:

2 Timothy 2:25 - [I]In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

I will have to assume that futurists, or rather those who hold to a planet ending crisis of some sort, have no Scripture to support your view of the "end of time" or "end of history." I would have thought there would have been several posts by now since the "end times" is the essence of eschatology, this section is the eschatology discussion board, the many predictions about the "end of the world," and the number of movies created along these lines...

3. A new refurbished planet Earth
4. End of Earthly history
