From Sister(Mrs).Dominica Oware
Abidjan Ivory Coast West Africa

Dearest in the lord,

I am Mrs.Dominica A. Oware, from Sierra Leone . I am married to late Mr.Godson Obere Oware , who worked with Sierra Leone Embassy in Ivory Coast for Sixteen years before he died in the year 2005,after a brief illness that lasted for only five days. We were married for Eighteen years with a duaghter (Stella) who later died in a motor accident.
Before the untimely death of my husband,we were both born again Christians(from Muslim to Christianity). And since after his death I decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home because of the love I have for him .
When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of (US$1.2M ) One Million,Two hundred Thousand United States Dollars) in a General Trust Account with a prime bank here in Abidjan, Ivory Coast .
Following my ill health, being a victim to cancer , I have decided to donate this fund to a Christain organizations (Church) that will utilize this fund the way I am going to instruct herein, according to the desire of my late husband. I want this fund to be used in Christian Activities like,Orphanages, Christain schools, and Churches for propagating the word of god and to endeavour that the house of the lord is maintained.
I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and do not know about this deposit . I am not afraid of death since I know where I am going. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that "the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace".
I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health situation as well the presence of my late husband's relatives around me . I don't want them to know about this development/wish of my late husband hence I want it to be fulfilled . As soon as I receive your reply, I shall give you the contact of the bank here in Abidjan and would introduce you officially to them. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that Wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth. Please always be prayerful all through your life as well commit me into your daily prayers. Contact me on this email (dominica00@hosanna.net) as soon as possible since any delay in your reply will give me room to source another Church/christian for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein. Hoping to receive your reply immediately .
Remain blessed in the Lord.
Yours in the lord

Thanks for letting me know about this spam. Did you notice the user name that sent it to you? If you still have it in your inbox, please forward it to me. I deleted a couple of spammers yesterday. There seems to be a new bug in the vBulletin software that allows spammers to sneak past the security.

There doesn't seem to be any address.

It sounds more like phishing to me. If you follow her instructions, she will probably ask you for your bank account number. Beware!

Many Blessings.

I got a "pastor" who hit me outta the blue today....I do not know him... asked for money for 40 orphanes with HIV in Uganda, cuz they have not eaten in 2 days. Drinking only water and sugur.

he was on FB IM.

If its true, sad, but still,...... People who are desperate do desperate things, but how can they expect us to just send "me a western union" !!!

There is so much dishonesty and crookedness these days I wouldn't give anybody I didn't know any money. They always capitalize on people's generous attitude in this country. I guess I am preaching to the choir aren't I?

I agree completely. I'd have to fly to Africa and to ensure it is legit before I'd ever give anything. I get these requests almost every day because my email in on my website and the spiders pick it up. Here is one I got just a few minutes ago:

i am a student who is my leading my church on an evangelism in one of the villages in Ghana.we know very well that bibles should be the only gift we gift to them.So on behalf of my church i was sent to go on the net if i can get a person or organization to help me.During my search ,i luckily found you and know very well is my luck.On behalf of my church Please kindly send me some bibles to only win souls for christ.please kindly send the bible to the address below;

i hope my request will be accepted..
When I first got this kind of message years ago, it moved my heart and I thought "BIBLES???" - you bet I"ll send BIBLES! But then after some research I found that these are often scams - Bibles are worth money like anything else, and after you send a Bible they begin to ask for money too.

There are much better ways to send support that will get to the people that are in need. There are excellent ministries that actually go to Africa and know what they are doing and know how to effectively use your money.

So bottom line - I would never respond to any spam email asking for anything. If you have a heart to give, find a ministry that you can checkout and give through them.
