God just opened my eyes to a most amazing Alphabetic KeyLink for the letter “Bet”; weaving together verses from two of the most sorrowful books of the Bible (Jeremiah and Lamentations) into an Alphabetic KeyLink.
The “Bet” words bekah weeping, and ben son or child, appear alphabetically structured only in the alphabetic verses of Lamentations….
Lamentations 1:2 She weepeth (bekah) sore (bakah) in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.
Lamentations 4:2 The precious sons (ben) of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!
….the only other place in the Bible that these two words appear together in conjunction with the word “lamentation” is in the book of Jeremiah (except for quoting its prophetic fulfillment, which is found in Matt.2). Jeremiah is the 24th book of the Bible with its placement on the Bible Wheel being on Spoke 2, which is headed by the Hebrew letter “Bet”.
Jeremiah was called the weeping prophet for a very good reason….the book of Lamentations (meaning to lament or to weep) was written by him during the time of the Babylonian exile, making this connection all the more meaningful.
Jer.31:15 (Spoke 2 = Bet) Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping (bekiy); Rahel weeping (bakah) for her children (ben) refused to be comforted for her children (ben), because they were not.
How fitting indeed for this Alphabetic KeyLink to not only expresses the theme of deep sorrow of the children (ben) of Israel through Jeremiah in the use of the words, weep, and lament, but also to connect the alphabetic verses (notice both Jeremiah 31:15 and Lamentations 1:2 speak of her lack of comfort), with the lamentation of Jeremiah on Spoke 2, and finally to weave in its prophetic fulfillment!
Matt.2:17-18 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
Alphabetic KeyLink
She weepeth and has none to comfort her
Bet verse (Lam.1:2 & 4:2) <----> Jeremiah 31:15
The treasures contained in the connections in these books are overflowing with richness….there is more to come….
