Alphabetic Verses: Aleph

Hi John - I really appreciate your comments. I understand I have gone a little overboard with my enthusiasm. I need to slow down a little and serve up dinner in bite size chuncks instead of dumping loads on the table with a snowshovel. Thanks for pointing that out. Here's my answer to your questions: John said: Richard, it does look as though you have some very good information. However, I think it leaves the reader a little breathless. It is overwhelming. For instance, you said, "Or we could start with the meaning of the Hebrew Letter Tav (Cross) and note that Psalm 22 is the Psalm of the Cross and Genesis 22 is the Genesis of the Cross and the Key to the Bible is given in Isaiah 22.22 and that the alphabet is finished in Tav just as Christ declared "It is finished" on the Cross - so we see that the whole picture preaches the Gospel!" How does the meaning of the Letter Tav (Cross) relate to Psalm 22? It looks to me like the books of "Song of Solomon", "Acts", "Revelation", "2 Timothy", "Micah" and 1 "Kings" are the ones the wheel relates together, not Psalms. How do we see Psalms related? It does make sense Genesis would be the genesis of the Cross, but how do we see that in your study? These are details I believe that are not easily seen by us, the readers. These are excellent and important questions. In all these citations - Ps 22, Gen 22, Isa 22.22 - I was pointing out how the chapter structure integrates with the meaning of the Hebrew Alphabet. Its all wheels within wheels. I began with the literal meaning of the letter Tav, which means a mark, sign, or cross. In the ancient Hebrew script, this letter was written either like an "x" or a "t" - the latter being identical to the classic form of the Cross of Christ. Thus, the Alphabet ends in Tav - the Cross. This coheres with the Gospel message and the words of Jesus from the Cross, "It is Finished." I then linked this with the chapter sequence of the Psalms - i.e. Psalm 22 (the Psalm of the Tav/Cross) is the Psalm Jesus quoted from the Cross, saying "My God My God, Why have you forsaken me?" Is this not incredible? Likewise, I linked it to Genesis 22 and the story of the Sacrifice of Isaac. On my site I mention the many parallels between Genesis 22 and the crucifixion of Christ. (This is not original with me, many have noted it in the past). I also note that Genesis 22 contains the first occurrence of the Hebrew Ohav (Love) and that its in conjuction with the first occurrence of Yachid (only) - in other words, God first mentions LOVE in the context of the sacrifice of an ONLY SON - This is the Gospel, which is that God gave his only Son which points back to Golgaotha and the crucifixion of Jesus. Put this all together, and we have the Genesis of the Cross. Genesis as a whole relates to Spoke 1, but Genesis 22 (the fine structure) relates to Spoke 22. It all wheels within wheels. Its an infinite study that I have found infinitely fruitful! Finally, John wrote: I hope you will review your approach and be patient with our ignorance. I do think you have something worth checking into. Thank you for your ear. --John This is music to my ears! Thank you for taking the time to show me where I need to improve the presentation. You comments are extremely valuable - I certainly will review my appoach! God Bless! Richard
